Post-Hershey Update
Hello Friends,
As we put Hershey 2010 in our rear view mirror and the leaves fall to ground, I wanted to take some time to bring everyone up to date on some new finds and some great opportunities for 2011.
Hershey was absolutely perfect weather wise. Most of the week was sunny and comfortable, which anyone that has attended the Fall meet knows, when the rain comes, what a experience that can be. The Peerless found a new home and we have number of sales currently in the works from clients that viewed our offering at the show. But by far the most interesting and exciting part of the show was the one of our new acquisitions that came home.
The 1912 Stoddard Dayton is by far the most powerful and refined Brass Era automobile I have ever had the pleasure of driving. Take a look at the video we filmed HERE.
In 1911 the Stoddard Dayton was the very first car to pace the Indianapolis 500. Its overhead-valve engine with valve-in-head (OHV) engine was a masterpiece of advanced engineering compared to the T-head engines favored by competing marques. Valves were inclined at 45 degrees within hemispherical combustion chambers.
Lots more on the history of the Marquee will be posted on the website, but to be appreciated, this car has to be driven. The restoration was performed to the highest standards and she was built to be driven, and it has. The Stoddard has toured all over California and even climbed Pikes Peak. With only a few of these 50 HP models in existence, this Brass Era powerhouse will be a Blue Chip collectable now and in the future.
Today the High HP (50 +) are some of the hardest to find vehicles on the planet, and very few cars of that era can perform at modern speeds. This car captivates an audience in beauty and performance.
Speaking of Concours events, now is the time of year that the plans are in motion for the 2011 Concours season which is kicked off in 2011 at the Amelia Island Concours, this is an absolute must attend event, and after talking to the shows founder Bill Warner at Hershey, it will be another great event. This show GETS BETTER AND BETTER EVERY YEAR! Also Pebble Beach, the hottest and most sought after invitation in the collector car world, starts now! Entries open soon (and we have a car for you if you want to attend in 2011). There are also a host of other great events that we provide our full white glove service for our clients, which includes transportation, event support, and transport home, so you can step off the plane and enjoy the event worry free.
With the Concours season fast approaching, we have some very exciting vehicles coming out of restoration that are contenders for the above mentioned events.

These cars include our 1907 Thomas 40, nearing completion, and is an excellent opportunity for the astute collector to grab up another rare and powerful example that has never been shown. The Thomas will make a welcome addition to any of the 2011 Concours shows. |
| The 1931 Isotta Fraschini Torpedo 8AS by Castagana was the epitome of the Italian luxury automobiles. Very few of these examples exist today, and represent one of the strongest moving segments in investment-grade collector cars. The restoration nears completion and it is being offered for sale so that the new owner can experience the Lawn at Pebble Beach, Amelia Island and beyond. Contact us now for details as this is the first time this fully documented Isotta has been offered for sale. | |
| Also the 1931 Cadillac V16 Roadster, which is on its final stages of completing a 10 year odyssey to make her one of the finest examples in existence. This build sheet documented example represents a rare opportunity to own the heavy weight champion of the Multi Cylinder Wars. | |
| Also for the Duesenberg enthusiast act fast to grab up our last Murphy Disappearing Top Roadster project. After this one I doubt there will be many entry level opportunities to drive the mighty J Duesenberg. |
Lots of other great cars are in the works, at a more affordable budget, so watch our website for more exciting opportunities.
